Chad Wagner is the Chief Technology Officer leading SC3’s long-term technology vision, and is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Contracting, Engineering and Support (CES) Business Unit that focuses on technology applicability and insertion to assist SC3’s government customers.
Mr. Wagner brings more than 25 years of experience supporting government customers in a myriad of roles, helping bridge gaps between different groups that are required to support a customer mission. Prior to joining SC3, Mr. Wagner was the president of CompSec for seven years until SC3 acquired the company in 2012. During his seven-year tenure at CompSec, he grew the company from a single-customer focus to a company servicing dozens of agencies and hundreds of programs across the entire federal space, while growing revenues by more than 400 percent. Additionally, Mr. Wagner worked in a variety of roles at firms Rational, ObjectFX and MetaCarta.
Mr. Wagner also served as an enlisted United States Marine, completing multiple tours in the Middle East as an Arabic linguist and analyst where he honed his understanding for the need for seamless technology to aid the warfighter. A self-taught programmer, Mr. Wagner designed and developed applications supporting government programs and became proficient in understanding how to technically achieve the analytical goals of his users.
Mr. Wagner earned a B.S. from the University of Maryland. He also received several military commendations for inter-service actions while in the military, including a Navy Achievement Medal and a Joint Service Achievement Medal.
